1. What is it?¶
Payment Gateway Settings configures payment gateways so businesses can accept online payments directly on invoices. When configured, payment links appear on invoice emails, and when customers pay, invoices are automatically marked as paid and receipts are auto-generated.

2.3 Configuration (per gateway)¶
When clicking Configure, the user enters: - Public Key — from the payment provider dashboard - Secret Key — from the payment provider dashboard - Webhook URL — provided by Finora; must be added to the provider's webhook settings
3. Business rules & constraints¶

4. Nigerian regulatory context¶
- Paystack is the most widely used payment gateway in Nigeria; supports card, bank transfer, USSD, mobile money
- Squad is a newer alternative with competitive settlement times
- Both are licensed by the CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria) for payment processing
5. Common customer questions¶
Q: "Where do I find my Paystack API keys?"
Log in to your Paystack dashboard → Settings → API Keys & Webhooks. Copy the Public Key and Secret Key.
Q: "What is the webhook URL and where do I add it?"
The webhook URL is provided by Finora when you click Configure. Add it in your Paystack dashboard under Settings → API Keys & Webhooks → Webhook URL.
Q: "Can I use both Paystack and Squad at the same time?"
Typically one gateway is active for invoice payments. Configure the one your business prefers.
6. Known edge cases¶
Neither gateway configured in test business¶
Both Paystack and Squad show "Not configured yet." No payment links will appear on invoices until at least one is configured.
7. Escalation trigger¶
Escalate to Tier 3 (Founder) if: - Webhook is configured but payment notifications aren't arriving - Auto-receipt generation fails after a successful payment
Escalate to Tier 2 (Support Lead) if: - Customer needs help finding their API keys - Customer needs to switch from one gateway to another - Customer reports payment was made but invoice wasn't marked as paid
