1. What is it?¶
Data & Privacy (Data Access Requests) is the NDPR compliance page where users can request and download a complete copy of all their personal data held by Finora. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) Article 26, users have the right to access their personal data. The page provides a self-service export function and contact details for the Data Protection Officer.
2. How does it work in Finora?¶
2.1 What is a Data Access Request?¶
"Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) Article 26, you have the right to access all personal data we hold about you. Click 'Export My Data' to instantly generate and download a complete copy of your data. You can export once per month."
2.2 Export includes¶
- User profile and account information
- All businesses and financial records
- All invoices, expenses, receipts, and bills
- All customers, suppliers, and products
- Bank accounts and transactions
- Compliance audit logs related to your account
2.3 Export Data¶

4. Nigerian regulatory context¶

- Data controllers (Finora) must provide the data in a commonly used format
- Finora is NDPC Certified (Nigeria Data Protection Commission)
5. Common customer questions¶
Q: "What format is the data export in?"
The export is typically a ZIP file containing JSON or CSV files with all your data.
Q: "I exported my data last week. Why can't I export again?"
Exports are limited to once per month. Wait until 30 days from your last export.

6. Known edge cases¶
Export may take time for large businesses¶
Businesses with many transactions may see a delay in export generation. The page shows "Loading your requests..." while checking previous export history.
7. Escalation trigger¶
Escalate to Tier 3 (Founder) if: - Data export fails or produces an incomplete file - User requests data deletion under NDPR
Escalate to Tier 2 (Support Lead) if: - User needs a data export more frequently than once per month - User has questions about what data Finora holds about them
