Mono Bank Integration

Last reviewed: 2026-04-01

Status: Coming Soon

Mono bank integration is not yet live in Finora. The "Connect Bank Account" button on the Bank Accounts page is disabled with a "Coming Soon" badge.

What Mono Is

Mono (mono.co) is a Nigerian open banking platform that provides API access to bank accounts across Nigerian financial institutions. It enables: - Account linking — customers authenticate with their bank credentials via Mono's secure widget - Transaction syncing — automatic daily import of bank transactions - Balance retrieval — real-time account balance queries

What It Will Do in Finora

When launched, Mono integration will: 1. Allow businesses to connect their Nigerian bank accounts directly from the Bank Accounts page 2. Automatically sync transactions daily — eliminating manual CSV/Excel/PDF uploads 3. Match imported transactions against existing Finora records (invoices, expenses, receipts) 4. Display real-time account balances

API Credits

Mono API calls will cost ₦200 per API call (same credit pool as TIN/NIN verification). Credits are purchased from the API Credits page (/api-credits).

Current Alternative

Until Mono is live, customers should use Upload Statement on the Bank Accounts page to manually import bank transactions from: - CSV — available from most bank portals - Excel (.xlsx) — available from most bank portals - PDF — supported for GTBank, Providus, and Zenith only

Customer Communication

What to say: "Automatic bank syncing via Mono is on our roadmap and marked as 'Coming Soon.' There is no confirmed launch date. In the meantime, you can upload bank statements manually using CSV, Excel, or PDF format."

Escalation

  • Tier 2: Customer urgently needs automatic bank syncing and wants to know the timeline
